The Competitive Edge: Third Quarter, 2019

New Years in September

You’ve heard of “Christmas in July,” when a select few hardcore holiday enthusiasts ironically gather to celebrate Yuletide traditions despite the sweltering heat of summer. At Follow The Eyes, we’re starting our own new Hallmark holiday called “New Years in September.” Instead of waiting until November and December to begin planning for next year, we’re making our New Year’s resolutions RIGHT NOW. So, what does that mean? It means we’re diligently working on 2020 planning and strategy for our clients. We’re collecting data to tell the story of how our efforts helped to make an impact on their business in 2019 and brainstorming new ideas for campaigns and creative strategy next year. We’re also starting to plan for the future of Follow The Eyes internally. What investments will we make in technology, culture, and people to continue to live out our strategic plan? These are all questions that we will clearly answer in the next few months.

Rising To The Challenge(s)

In Q3, FTE helped Allan Nott Honda Toyota meet some lofty sales targets. The dealership challenged us to work hand in hand with them to sell 20 Toyota Highlanders during the month of July and 50 Honda CR-Vs during the month of August, while continuing to yield results that helped the business accomplish their regular monthly sales goals. In an average month, they typically sold 5-7 Highlanders and 25-30 CR-V’s. In both months, Follow The Eyes deployed a full omni-channel solution that involved video production, display banners, social media videos and ad campaigns, email blasts, website sliders, online video, and Connected TV. These campaigns were specifically targeted to audiences who would be most inclined to purchase these vehicles. Our efforts helped Allan Nott exceed their Highlander goal by three vehicles and their CR-V goal by nine. They also continued their fifth and sixth consecutive months of reaching over 300 total vehicles sold. We’ll continue to work hand in hand with them to achieve their in-house goals.

The FTE Family Grows

In the 3rd quarter, we welcomed two new team members. Mark Crepeau joined the Orlando FTE business development team in late July. He brings a diverse background of different marketing experiences to the team. He’s worked with businesses and projects ranging from everything between the International Speedway to the National Basketball Hall of Fame. Carrie Pruiett also came aboard the FTE bus as the Operations Coordinator in the middle of August. She brings an array of skills to the table from office management to social media. We consider ourselves privileged to have snagged these talented people to join the Follow The Eyes family.

When people feel valued for the talents and skills they bring to the team, their level of commitment soars
